Bruce Willis Joins “G.I Joe 2: Retaliation”
Stephen Summors (The Mummy) did well on last 2009’s G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra and made us willing to patiently wait for its sequel G.I Joe 2. That film offered a live action figure that successfully took our memories back into our childhood. However, we recently heard that instead of earlier director Stephen Summors, another director will take over this project.
Well, talk about the sequel of G.I Joe that new-titled G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation, we got some hot news for you! Die Hard star Bruce Willis is about to join this upcoming flick.
He is a kind of professional actor who has been starring a lot of great movies, such as the hit Summit action “Red”; the thrillers “Cold Light of Day”; “Looper”. Willis is now in somewhat negotiation with Paramount Picture to play a role of General Joe Colton.
Joe Colton is the man who created this strike team, handled it and named it “G.I Joe”. With the leadership of G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Dennis Quaid, seemingly will not returning to this sequel, Bruce Willis should be the one who fill the void. Bruce Willis will corporate with mostly new casts in this sequel. Some casts that take part in this movie production including: Channing Tatum (Captain Duke Hauser); Ray Park (Snake Eyes); Byung-hun Lee (Storm Shadow); Dwayne Johnson (Roadblock); Adrianne Palicki (Lady Jaye); Ray Stevenson( Firefly); Joseph Mazzello (Mouse); RZA (Blind Master); D.J. Cotrona (Flint); and Elodie Yung (Jinx).
G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation is scheduled to begin shooting later this month in New Orleans. Paramount Pictures has announced June 29, 2012 as release date of G.I Joe 2 in theaters. Jon Chu promises that this sequel will be a much different and of course much better from its predecessor. I personally hope for more breathless effect, but still real intense action and emotion of the characters. What about you?
